painted porch

Lately,i've really been taking advantage of the nice weather here in Kentucky.I was able to plant more flowers and the bulbs that i planted a month ago are all growing now.But the last project that i did was painting the floor of our porch. As usual David and I have been procrastinating about it again but couple weeks ago,i felt like having the perfect timing and chance to do it.To make the story short,I did it myself while he's at work.I dont know why but i love painting. This is good though since my husband thinks that this is not the easiest thing for him. So,below are the pics that i took before ( really needs help...lol) and after i painted it.

AFTER

I did a good job, didn't i?I'm just proud learning new stuff while loving it!!

it's that time again

When i was still in the Philippines ,i never thought that gardening could be fun.But last summer, when i saw the different varieties of plants and flowers that stores carry here,it made me want to try it.
When i started doing it,i was not sure if i made the right choice of plants, dirt and mulch and if i was doing it right. But when i saw sprouts starting to come up it made me so excited and more anxious to plant some more. And they all grew.Unfortunately i wasn't able to take pictures of the Annuals that i planted last year which died when frost came.

I also planted bushes (Boxwood in particular) and they are still growing healthy this year.

This year,i made sure that i'll be getting Perennial flowers instead of Annuals so that they will come back every year.I have not seen any sprouts yet but i'm sure they are coming.Oh,gardening is fun,it might need some of your time but it's all worth it.

i'm lovin' it

When Debbie,my husband's Aunt knew that i do cross stiching if time allows me,she was surprised. She thought that younger women dont like it.I can't speak intelligently for American women but for me cross stiching is really fun.Seeing how a pattern transforms into a real picture is just awesome.Yea,it takes time and patience but that's how i am.It makes me more enthusiastic thinking that i can do it.And once i see it done, the feeling of fulfillment will pay everything off.
Anyway, the picture in here is the first one i did here in the States. And this wouldn't be my first nor last since Debbie bought me more patterns and stuff to make more.

Anywho,my husband was amazed when he saw the finished product cause he doesn't have a single clue on how to do it.And he said,he loves it so that's what matters to me and of course I AM LOVIN IT....

learning a new hobby

Who would have thought that i can bake?I guess,NOBODY.lol.

While i was browsing in this Fil-Am Forum , i came across to this topic about making Fondant Cakes ,i was amazed on how the author did her own design. And i thought,it was pretty interesting then i decided of trying it too. So,couple days after,i bought the things needed to make it.I was so eager to do it.It was kinda difficult for me at first but after getting used to it,i started really loving it.So,to make the story short, the picture above is my first project.I don't think its really that good BUT when I showed pictures to my husband's family, they all said it was wonderful.Guess, they just love me so much.*wink*
