This month is one of the most blessed months for us.Just to name a few reasons why,this month was started with the pinning of my husband for his E-7 rank.This is such a big accomplishment for him and we've been very thankful about it.Another thing is when my husband was given the choice between deploying to Afghanistan or staying here and be the Rear Detachment First Sergeant.Of course,we both decided that he will stay.Yea,those are primarily the major reasons why I am loving this month.Oh,and one more thing,we just finalized our trip too for our vacation in Florida on the first week of September.

I feel like it's been forever now since the last time I updated my blog.Yea,it's not just a week but more than that since my last entry.Some of you might or have wondered where was I.
Well,I was just really caught up with my work and my husband's as well.After he got promoted,things have somehow change in terms of his duties and responsibilities in the Army.And as a wife,I was and will contnue to be more than happy to be there everytime he needs me and what not.

When I had my day off last time,my friend Ada and I decided to look for a grooming place for her dogs.We went to this one place but didn't get what she wants.So,our next stop was Pet's Mart which fortunately offers the service(s) that she was looking for.Since Pet's Mart is just across the mall,we just decided to go there as well.So,to make the long story short,we realized that Goody's is having their clo sing clearance.We went inside and saw this Hannah Montana's wig which if i think about it right now is somehow ridiculous.Lol.Anyway,both of us decided to try it on and i think I was right.Lol.

Yea,you might think that we were out of our minds but we had a good time.That is when you can tell that you are really having fun instead of just claiming it.

Being a wife of somebody who is in the Army makes me eager to learn more about the Military.By reading some articles about it,i already came across to different places and names of people who are in the same field.And one of them is Joseph Baniak. He has devoted fourteen years of his life was as an Officer in the US Air FOrce.As I continued to read the articles about him,I found out that he is also a recognized public speaker while being on active duty.There are some more facts that can be found if you just continue to research about him which is what I am doing right now.And i know you too as well will be interested as soon as you start reading them.

It's almost 12 midnight here but I'm still wide awake watching Hannah Montana's Concert on tv.So,i just took this chance too to write an entry to my blog.Anyway,i don't know why but since my husband got back from school couple months ago we got hooked in Disney Channel now.It was him who influenced me and I don't blame him why he loves watching Disney's shows.There is something on them that would really want you not to miss it.And obviously,Hannah Montana is my favorite.I love her husky yet feminine voice.How i wish she'll have a concert in Nashville,TN.I will for sure be one of the first in line.."wishful thinking*

When a co-worker of ours told us that she feels like one of her hands is getting more weak as days passed by we thought that it was just because she was doing a lot of typing lately.But yesterday,she said that it was getting worst and her hands were numb already.That's when she went to the hospital to see a doctor.It was just this morning when she told us that the doctors think that she is having Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.I even asked her to repeat what she said since it was the first time I ever heard about it.Her and some of our co-workers somehow explained it to me.They did a good job explaining it to me like some of the symptoms and possible cure for this but still it made me really curious about it.So,right after I got home from work,I started researching online about it.And while I was reading some facts about this syndrome,I came across with carpal tunnel relief by IMAK and browsed on some their products.

I just got a text message from my sister that she's finally home.She got there (Davao City,PI) maybe five or six hours ago.I can't imagine how happy she is right now so is my family.I know they've all been wanting her to be home especially that the twins are growing.What else can I say?I'm just so thankful and happy that she had a safe and they are all reunited again.

Wargames 25th Anniversary

It has been over twenty years since the " Sixteen Candles" came out but until now my husband and I would still watch it everytime we get the chance to.It's so amazing how we both feel the same towards the 1980's movies.For us,movies made during those years have these different stories that will really make you want to watch them over and over agian.Anyway,aside from the "Sixteen Candles",we also love the "Wargames".This is one of those movies too that is worth to be watched.

And oh,speaking the WarGames, I am so glad to know that it will be back in selected theathers on July 24 at 07:30 PM.Yeah, you read it right,we will all have the chance to watch it again on the big screen,isn't that exciting?This is in celebration of it's 25th Anniversary since it was shown.Oh,I just cant wait!

I am so happy when I read an email from my older sister telling me that she will finally be going home on the 25thoif this month.She has been in Manila for a lil over five months now i guess.The company that she worked with needed her and this other gal for an enhancement training there.I really felt sorry for her at first knowing that she wont be seeing het twins for that period of time.I know it felt like eternity for her being there but at least it'll be over soon.I am just so happy for her and as well as for my nephews a greal deal.How about me?When will I be home again?*wink*

Walk for a Cause

When we found out that a very good friend of our family was diagnosed with Alzheimer disease we didn't know how to react.The knowledge that we have about this kind of disease is not that broad.We don't have any clue on what really causes it,if there's any known cure to this and how to avoid it.All we know is her memory loss becomes apparent.
In hopes to help her and the family,I started researching about it.I was able to find articles that somehow helped us understand this disease.These helped me realize what are the real causes,it's history,the prevention and the management as well and I personally think that it's not that easy at all.So,while I continue to search for more answers and facts about Alzheimer Disease,I came across with Alzheimer's Memory Walk.

I was amazed on this event's objectives.They are having a 2-3 mile walk on a weekend morning starting this fall in more than 600 communities..It's aim is to raise awareness and funds that would help for Alzheimer care, support and research.I also found out that they are looking for volunteers to be one of the team captains in which you dont have to run but your job will be motivating the walkers in oreder to raise more funds for a very good cause.

My husband's deployment few months from now has been an open book here in my blog.Oppps!!!I need to correct that now first and foremost.It wont be deployment anymore but "supposed to be" deployment.Yea,he wont be going to Afghanistan anymore.He was given the choice either to deploy or stay here and be the Rear Detachment First Sergeant.When he asked me about it,i didn't need more time to think about it any longer.We both think that deploying overseas will be a great help financially but if you are going to think about the time that you'll be away from your family and how stressful it is,it ain't worth it.NOT AT ALL!!!And besides not all money are good money according to him.
Yea,i just want to share this good news to you guys.I am still overwhelmed until now thinking about all these wonderful blessings that we have been receiving from Him.!!

Though it was Monday yesterday,I was still able to ask for a day off.It's kinda odd to start the week with it but I was perfectly fine and had enjoyed every bit of it.My friends came over and as usual we ate together.You might notice that everytime we see each other,we always spend time to eat together.I dont know why but it is such a wonderful way to spend time.So,last night it was my turn to cook.I just made Filipino style beef steak,some cucumber with vinegar(yummy!!!) and my beloved husband bake a cake for us.Food was pretty good IMHO.And after that we just stayed at our living room and watch Filipino shows.
It is really nice to have friends in the house.For me,this is a very great help to cope up with homesickness.And oh,I have some pics for y'all too.

A friend of ours who live on post (Fort Campbell) has this thing every Friday together with her neighbors.They get together every Friday night and depending on what they had agreed will be the food.Ada and I dont really belong in their neighborhood but still we go thereand joing with them.Lol.Tonight they had Italian dishes and men!the lasagna was so good,one of the best that I have tasted.I even brought some for my husband and he did for sure like it too.He was even looking for more,too bad!Lol..

Few days ago,I had mentioned about sending my I-751 packet to USCIS Vermont Service Center which I really did last Monday.I sent it thru priority mail via USPS and paid an extra amount so that i can have the tracking number and what not just in case.Well,yesterday when my husband and I were both in the vehicle,I asked him if he had seen the receipt I put in there.As quick and hurry,he answered,"I threw it away I thought it was trash".Yea,he threw away the tracking number that i got from USPS.Now,I don't know how to trace it though my husband suggested of calling them today.I just hope that they can tell me whats up with my mail now (crossed fingers) and hopefully I'll be at ease while waiting for a receipt from USCIS.

Dear Diary,
It's been almost two years since I got here in the States.Within these years,life has been so good to me.I have a very loving husband,a work which does not stress me that much and three adorable pets.It will probably take me the whole night to list all the wonderful things that happened and are happening in my life.But I've got this one serious problem and luckily I was able find solution about it.This is the agony that I needed to experience everytime I am cleaning our house or even my car.Everyone knows how much I hated our vacuum.I hated it with a passion.For me,using it seems to ne never ending.With its very loud noise that would freak all of our pets out and its cord that would always get tangled up with the furniture.How I wish cleaning will be more simple than this.I did try the old fashion way by sweeping and mopping but I guess this is more time and enery consuming.My husband is well aware about it so he has been trying to help me looking for the best solution to my problem.As we were browsing the internet for some best cleaning products,we found these cordless vacuums from Dirt Devil to earn Energy Star .Alas!this will be a very good solution to my problem.So,my husband got one for me and ever since that I have never been more happy cleaning not just our house but my car as well.These vacuums make it a lot faster and more energy efficient.Thanks to Dirt Devil.

For those who are not familiar with the I-751,it is a form for Immigrants like me whose Permanent Resident Card or better known as Greencard is about to expire.When i had it two years ago,I got the temporary one which is good for two years since David and I were less than a year married by then.I am supposed to submit the packet last June 24,the 90-day before it expires but I got caught up with my work and the holidays.And so,I promised to myself to mail it tomorrow and get this done.I just hope that we'll have a smooth sailing process just like when my husband was trying to get me here in the States.

As I've mentioned in my previous post,my husband and I planned to watch the fireworks on post last 4th of July.So we went there and met my good friend Ada together with her in-laws and nephew.We were able to watch the fireworks and personally I was really amazed on how they did it.Anyway,everything went fine and good until we had ridden the Scorpion ride.God!I cant describe exactly how I was feeling after that ride,prolly the worst feeling I ever experienced after having a ride.When I got off the ride,David told me that my whole face was so white,go figures! and I almost threw up after.I don't know how these people do it.

So,after that we had no choice but to head home.Fort Campbell is just 15 minutes-ish away from house but on our way home,i felt like it was the longest 15 minutes in my life.Yea,that's how terrible I was feeling that night.*sigh*

It's been a tradition here in Fort Campbell,KY to have a carnival for a week during the 4th of July celebration.Last year was my first time to experience how Americans celebrate their Indepedence Day.It was a lot of fun going to the carnival and being a child in heart again.
This week,the carnival rides on post were up again.Since it was my day off last Tuesday,my friends and I went there.As usual we took few pics and had so much fun.

And tomorrow it will be my husband and I going there to watch the fireworks and prolly do some rides again.We'll see!!

Criss Angel Believe

Since I was a kid,I have always been thrilled watching magic shows and how these magicians do their respective tricks.I had and still wondering how these people do it.Even if some of them had already shown in TV how to execute some of the tricks,I still believe that it will be a lot different if I can them in person.One of the magicians that I am really looking forward to watch live is Criss Angel.My friends and I have been talking a lot about his forthcoming show in Las Vegas,the CRISS ANGEL Believe.

We all know that there have a lot of amazing magicians already that we have seen on TV or read in the books such as Harry Houdini and his famous "escape acts".I have heard and read on how he escape the Chinese Water Torture cell to the milk can, the mirror and some more.For me those are pretty interesting but i still find Criss Angel's style more intruiging.That is one of the primary reasons why I would really love to see this show live.I want to experience how he would make the audience feel the meaning of being emotionally engaged by the arts of mysticism and illusion.

Having friends who are from the same country where you came from is such a great help in dealing with homesickness.When i moved here in the Kentucky,i never thought that there's a large number of Filipino folks in here.Thank God,i got lucky to know good people in our area.
Anyway,last weekend,our friend's son celebrated his 2nd birthday and had a party in their house.A lot of food were served,catching up with each other and of course the ever famous karaoke singing were just few of the good stuff in there.We took couple pics and just thought of sharing them to you guys.

Yesterday I was off from work thinking that I will be able to sleep in as long as I wanted to but two fo my good friends came to our house.It was past 10 in the morning i think when Ada asked me if I wanto to go to the mall with them.And guess what my answer was "heck yea!",lol.

So they were here yesterday and the best part (lol) is they bought food with them from KFC,a bucket full of chicken and some mashed potatoes.
Anywho,my husband came home for lunch and joined us.And right after we ate,i then took a quick shower since the mall was already waiting for us.Lol.
We had a blast in there and later that day,we went to the carnival in Fort Campbell and met Vangie and her family there.It was such a very nice day to spend a day off from work.

Since I got here in the US two years ago,I became more interested in video games.It is pretty much my husband who influenced me.And now aside from blogging I am now really into video games.Last weekend,one of my friends who plays some of the games that me and my husband both play told me about this new character in Dungeon Runners games.I got excited about it as soon as she started describing it.So,i then started browsing and found what she was talking about.This new character is called the Bling Gnome.It is a very cute little dwarf which will be your helper while playing the game.How?It's task is to follow your character around and auto-magically it will pick up all the gold that dropped in the ground that was intended for you to pick up.Isn't that cool?

Just when the hottest month of the year(based on my experience here in KY) has just begun our AC/heating unit started acting up.Darn it!!Why now?Lol.It is really flippin hot in this house and its taking forever for the contractor(s) to come in here and check whats really going on.
Anywho,I received a call this morning from the electric company office that they are sending the paperworks today which we should be getting in 24-48 hours from now(crossing my finger) so that they can start installing a new unit.I just hope that is really it!No more IF's,no more BUt's,just come in here and get us squared away...PLEASE!!!!

When my husband David was gone to school,he brought my laptop with him.So,I was using the desktop the entire time he was there.And now my laptop is back.I'm trying to get the hang of it again.I even forgot that this has Windows Vista,my bad!
But guess what,I've proven that my husband has been really playing WOW religiously while he was there.I noticed that one of the stickers in my keyboard is starting to fade.It's alright though since this is supposed to be peeled off anyway so I'm still good.

Its been four days now since my husband David is home.Pretty much that would explain why I haven't updated nor put entry(ies) in my blog.Few days before he arrived,I was really busy cleaning the house and making sure to keep things in order as much as possible.There's nothing more relaxing to see a clean and well-arranged house the moment you step in the doorway.Anyways,I think I did a pretty descent job doing it since he acknowledged it when he saw it.

In one of my posts couple days ago,I mentioned about how we like watching the USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight.We both love the creativity of the story and of course the characters too.Anyway,watching this show made me wonder what if I am in one of the witnesses' shoe.Where would I want to go?Well,since we are living in a military community right now,I want to be in a place where you can ever hardly see men in uniform if not at all.I have nothing against them and so thankful for their service in this country but assuming that I will be in a Witness Protection Program,I want to have a totally different enviroment from where I came from.So,i have thought of Orlando,Florida.
Not because Disneyworld is there which I really love but with what this city has to offer,I think I will have the blast while living there and maybe even forget that I am in the Witness Protection Program.Yea,this is how I am so into this show that I have even thought of things like this.That's what good shows are anyway,making the viewers really feel what the characters are trying to portray.

I just got home from a friend's small birthday party and when i turned the computer on,i saw that my two siblings were online.I was so happy to see it since its not everyday that we are all in th same zone.But yea,i had a good time viewing my nephews messing around with my family.So happy as well to see my older sister who's not home too for an enhancement training.
On the downside,this just makes me miss them more.Oh!God,i can't wait to see them again.I know it wouldn't be within a couple months but it'll get there.Just need to have more patience Jean Marie!!!

I have always been interested with Japanese culture and if given the opportunity to learn another language i would choose theirs.I just find it really interesting. After driving for a lil over a year,I finally paid gas straight from my pocket.Yea,it took me a year!LoL.It was not because I wasn't working but it was my husband who always did it before.I can still remember when I just got here,it would just cost us &40.00 or less to fill in the tank.BUT when i did it couple days ago,men!!i paid almost $60.00.This is just ridiculous.And they've been predicting that it will go up to &7.00/gallon during Christmas???This can't be happening.I'm really starting to think about gas prices now.
Anyway,i know there's nothing i or we can do about this but just to vent.I know it's not just here in the States but even back home,prices are skyrocketing.But on the bright side,I've seen more people now walking in the street,trying to save gas perhaps.NOT me though!!!

My husband and I both love suspense movies especially those that has something to do with crime investigation.The first time we heard about the USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight, we already knew this will be a good one.True enough when we watched the premier episode last June 1,it was really the show we were expecting for.
To give you an idea about this series its about this tough, sexy and smart U.S. Marshal portayed by Mary McCormack who works for a highly secretive Federal Witness Protection Program.It is her job to keep the Federal Witnesses safe,that alone already makes this show an interesting one,doesn't it?Along with her is Fred Weller who helps her with this uneasy job.

It's been 23 days since my husband left for school,that means we're half way there.Yea,17 more days to go and i'll be at the airport again to fetch my husband.I know it's still a lil over two weeks but I'm so excited now.This brings back those times when I was in the Philippines waiting for him.Oh!how I love that feeling.I know its not just me who's missing him,i know our babies Kya,Rocky and Tailie do too.That's why everytime we talk online I always show them on the webcam,I know he's missing them too.But life is so great and its getting there.When I sleep tonight,by the time I wake up tomorrow,it'll be another day closer to seeing him.

When Natalie Portman won as the best dressed lady in 2007, i already had that very strong feeling that she is really going to grab that award.I really like how she dresses up with accessories that makes a good match with each other, and the self-confidence that she has which would really make her more beautiful and stunning.

Who amongst us here wants a stress-free life?Everybody,aight?If there'll be a list ,I would for sure be on the top.Lol.
Anyway,as I've posted before,since my husband went to school,he started paying these guys to take care of the lawn.They were supposed to be here last Monday but weren't here.I thought it was just because of the rain and nobody would freakin use their equipment in a wet grass,pretty reasonable.Two days had gone by.The first thing that I look at as I was approaching our driveway was our yard.It was the same as how it was when I left this morning.Grrrrrrr..I should have not just expected that they'll be here.It just makes me more mad.So,i called my husband and guess what,we argued about this non-sense grass.I wanted to do it myself but he wont let me.Now he's trying to get hold of whoever he is calling right now who can hopefully give their word when they will say they gonna do it for us.Yea, I'm stressing about this grass.I want them mowed NOW.I want the weeds timmed NOW.I want this done NOW.Oh,did I mention NOW?

While I was watching some of the videos in Dockers contest it made me think about this.Though I am not sure if you will agree with me but I think we all have our favorite clothes.Just like my husband,amongst all the pair of pants that he has, there is this one that he really loves most.Everytime after he washed them and needed to wear pants,without giving a second thought he would grab this one.Now,it made me ask myself "What if these pants could talk".I'm pretty sure they will be complaning by now asking him if he can give them a chance to rest and just be in the closet.I realized how tough their life is.Being worn,streched,seated on and some more.I am very much aware about this so I tried getting him something that would look and feel like his favorite pants.I got him a pair from Dockers and it basically looks like the one he has.From now on,I think and hope he will have a new favorite pair of pants and give the other one a chance to breath.

I have been patiently counting the days as to when my husband will be finally home.A good friend of mine told me to refrain from doing it and instead just keep myself busy.I am trying to but still,i can't help it!!The thought about it being less than a month from now just makes me more excited.Though we talk on the phone every single day and see other online as much as we could but still its way way differenet when he's really beside you and you're both home.

Dog whisperer

Lately,I've been into this show called the Dog Whisperer with Cesar Millan.If you haven't seen this yet,this is being aired on the National Geographic Channel.I love this show not just because its all about dogs but it's his ability to tame even the worst dog I've seen by rehabilitating them.Sometimes,it makes me think that there is no way that he can do it but to my surprise he sure did make it.
By watching this it makes me wish now for a Cat Whisperer too (lol) for our Tailie.I want her to stop biting my feet.Anyway,i browsed for some videos about his show and this tribute is what i liked most because of the varieties of cute dogs being shown.

Since David left for school,I've never been really cooking a lot.I mean,for me there's no need especially after getting off from work.I would rather grab something from the store,or go to McDonalds which is just 2 miles away from the house or order pizza online.The latter is what i did last night.I've done this twice already for the past five days.It's not the cheapest thing to do but it's worth it.

So,last night I got this large Chicken Alfredo pizza from Papa Johns.IT was so good but just to let y'all know,i didn't eat all of it.It almost made me sick after having 3 slices of it,go figures.
I am not sure until when i can sustain and take this style of mine but as long as I can,i will!!Have agood one guys.

shedding

While I was feeding Kya and Rocky yesterday,I noticed a lot of clumps of fur on them.I freaked out thinking there was something wrong with our babies.I immediately called David and told him about it.He then told me that was normal for dogs and its called shedding and that they just need to be brushed.I'm sorry I didn't know about that before.lol.Shedding is a natural loss of hair of dogs and will allow new coat to come in.Therefore,its good and nothing to be worried about.Right after our short talk,i headed to Wal-mart and got a shedding brush.
I really wanted to take a picture of me brushing them but nobody could not unless one of them (Kya or Rocky) will realize where the push button is.lol.
So,yea,i had good time with them yesterday and i bet they did too especially Kya who i thought didnt want me to stop at all.

Since my good friend intoduced me to Blogging,I have been loving it.By having this blog,I am able to update most of my friends and family in the Philippines in how I am and the things are doing here.Few says ago while I was browsing one of my friend's blogs ,one of her posts caught my attention.It was about her signing up for Socialpark.I then clicked the link and was able to take a look on how this website works.I was so amazed on a number of opportunities they have for bloggers like me.So,in a hearbeat i also did sign up for SocialSpark and here I am now taking opportunities.There are few reasons why i like SocialSpark.One of them is the friendly-atmosphere that it has.You can add bloggers as your friend(s) and even rate them.Another one is when the opportunity is full you will still have the chance to wait for a slot and once a reservation is already created for you,you have 12 hours to do it.That means,i will still have the chance to do my household chores,play with my pets,do some grocery shopping and some more.Is'nt that fun?

Before my husband left for school,I made a list of the tasks that need to be done and things that i need or let me say want.And of course one of them is a pair of new shoes,a spolied brat you might call me but hey if we can spoil our Tailie,Kya and Rocky,why can't we do the same to ourselves too.
Anyway,to make the long story short,everything in the list were realized and some more.I got two pairs of new shoes and I'm loving the heck out of them.My husband thinks that they are very sexy shoes on me.Well,even if that's overated i would still take that as a compliment.Lol..These are what I got :

Paintball Time

Last Summer,my husband introduced me to Paintball.I never had thought that it will be as fun as it was.We had a blast with some of my friends and his friends as well.This year, we are planning to do it again since i personally had missed it after being able to try it.But this time,we want to purchase our own gears.So,i started browsing the internet and luckily I found Tippmann 98 Custom and was amazed with the various products they have.Some of their great products are Tippmann A-5, Tippmann 98 Custom, Smart Parts Ion, Spyder Pilot ACS which they consider as their top selling guns.And another good thing about this store is they have the best prices plus free shipping.What else can you ask for.

While I am typing this entry,it's been 2 days and 2 hours since my husband David borded in the plane for his 39-day out-of-state military schooling.It was tough to be in the airport and seeing him with this suitcase and backpack.This is the main reason why i started not to like seeing an airport.It brought back those memories two years ago while I was still in the Philippines waiting for my paperworks.I hate seeing people leave.My firends told me that i should be fine and that David's gonna come back anyway but its not that.It is about me sleeping alone,eating all by myself,coming home in an empty house.I know y'all know what I'm talking about.Last night,I pulled our outdoor trashcan to where it needs to be,that made me realize that was the very first time i did it.David wont let me do it but he has no choice this time.He made sure that i'll be as stress-free as possible while he's not home.He paid these guys to mow the lawn every other week,gave me the numbers of some soldiers just in case i need people to talk to and what not.Simple things like that,that you can greatly appreciate when you are alone.
Well,i just need to vent here guys.Now,i'm here,counting every single day as to when he'll be home.

Lately,i've really been taking advantage of the nice weather here in Kentucky.I was able to plant more flowers and the bulbs that i planted a month ago are all growing now.But the last project that i did was painting the floor of our porch.As usual David and I have been procrastinating about it again but couple weeks ago,i felt like having the perfect timing and chance to do it.To make the story short,I did it myself while he's at work.I dont know why but i love painting.This is good though since my husband thinks that this is not the easiest thing for him.So,below are the pics that i took before ( really needs help...lol) and after i painted it.

Well,well,well,i have something to show you guys about my cat again.While i was in the other room yesterday trying to make sure David's stuff is all complete,i heard him asking if i have seen our Tailie.I told him,she's in the bed prolly mad knowing that he(David) is getting ready to go to school.He then found her there BUT in a very comfy and snotty look.I went in there to see what he was talking about and yea,this is what we saw :

Doesn't she look so snotty yet the cutest cat?Oh,we just loved the way she crossed her front legs here.And i even took a closer pic of her face.

Two nights ago while we were already in bed,the National Geographic Channel was on.I can harldy remember what show was on that time but what caught my attention was this advertisement about one of the future episodes or shows that they'll be featuring.It was about these groups of animals fighting being shown in YouTube.It really looked so interesting.That's why yesterday,it was the first thing i did,searched it in YouTube and this is what came out :

Watergate Salad

Couple weeks ago while I was having my lunch at wor,I saw one of my friends eating this interesting-looking salad.I eventually asked her what was it and told me it's a salad and had me tried it.And it was good!!!Since then I was desperately looking for a recipe for Watergate Salad,also known as Pistachio Salad.I made it and loved it!!If i can remember it right this is yet the first salad that i have tasted sweet here in the US.lol.But seriously,if you want to try it too here's the recipe:

Ingredients:

1 package (4-serving size) Jell-O Pistachio Flavor Instant Pudding & Pie Filling
1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple in juice, (not drained)
1 cup miniature marshmallows
1/2 cup chopped walnuts nuts
2 cups thawed Cool Whip Topping

Instructions:
Stir the pudding mix, pineapple with juice, marshmallows and nuts in large bowl until well blended. Gently stir in whipped topping. Refrigerate 1 hour or until ready to serve. Garnish as desired.

Yield: Makes 8 servings

So easy,huh!!But the taste is awesome..and pretty sure y'all will like it too.

it's been a year...

It was March 24,2007 to be exact when I was one of the so eager individuals in this room waiting for their certificate of completion.That was the day when i was done from the 40-hour class intruction and 10-hour behind the wheels session.Yea,that was the day when i got eligible to get my driver's license.

Now,it's been year, a year of freedom and independence.I can still remember when my husband told me that having a license is just like having bank check.It doesn't have you all have the money to spend likeiwse with the DL too,it doesn't mean i can already do whatever i want to.It was pretty nervewracking at first driving alone but i would say experience is still the best teacher.
I went to this state acrredited driving schools and yea they helped me a great deal.My husband tried to put me in a riding lawn mower and realized he can't do it and therefore sent me to school.
Earlier,iwas rearranging my wallet and saw my DL,looking at it brought back those memories.Its been a year...Thanks to my husband and to the driving school!!!

21 lbs???

No,no,no!!!that's not how much i weighed at.That's how many lbs. my husband lost for the past two weeks.Was it planned?Yea,just like me he procrastinates a lot too,not as much I do though.
But couple weeks from now is when he'll be in school which left him no choice but to loose that extra lbs.To give you a lil idea about it,it's a pre-requisite to be weighed and taped in before a soldier can go to school for his promotion.For my husband who's 6'1 his ideal weight should be between 195-200 lbs. in Army standards.
Oh God,it was tough! I always feel bad everytime i eat foods that he cant.He's been eating selected foods only and i can't really eat with vegetables and fruits alone .Well,thats why he gets from taking PT exercises and his diet for granted,cramming!!lol.
But anyways, everything had paid off after he had his PT done last Friday and came home so delighted and made me happy too.

For the past few days,i have been feeling lazy in updating my blog.Maybe because of work (??).Yea,it has been a long week at work and if i am home early,i am outside enjoying the sun doing some gardening or walking our dogs with my husband.Or just like today,we painted the porch.It was all worth it anyway cause i like it better than the old color.
I know,its just a matter of setting my priorities which until now I haven't figured out what comes first,next and the list goes on.
But this time,I have decided to do more updates on my blog.Hopefully,this will be a good start and will help me to stop procrastinating.
